Privacy Policy — CO2Body Share to Instagram Extension

The CO2Body — Share to Instagram browser extension ("the extension") is operated by Carbogenetics / CO2Body ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the extension accesses, why, and how it is handled. It applies only to the browser extension; the co2body.com website has its own privacy policy.

Summary

The extension helps you share content you created on your own co2body.com account to your own Instagram account. It stores one thing — your co2body.com login token — locally in your browser, and uses it only to load your own posts. It does not collect analytics, does not read your Instagram account, is not sold or shared with anyone, and executes no remote code.

What the extension accesses

• Your co2body.com session token. When you are logged in at co2body.com, the extension stores your session token locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). It is used only to request your own post library and profile from api.co2body.com — the same requests the co2body.com website itself makes on your behalf. It is never sent anywhere else.
• Your co2body.com post content. Your generated posts (media files, captions, hashtags, your referral link) are fetched from your co2body.com account and placed into the Instagram post composer on your screen, at your request, for you to review.

What the extension does not do

• It does not read, collect, or transmit anything from your Instagram account. It only fills in the post composer; you review and share.
• It does not collect browsing history, messages, contacts, or analytics.
• It does not sell or share any data with third parties.
• It never posts, likes, follows, or performs any action on Instagram by itself. Every share is completed by you pressing Instagram's Share button.

Data we collect and how it is used

• Authentication information (your co2body.com session token): used solely to load your own post library and profile from co2body.com so you can share them. Stored locally in your browser only.
• We do not collect personally identifiable information beyond that token, location, web history, user activity/analytics, keystroke logging, personal communications, or financial and payment information.

In the terms used by the Chrome Web Store: we do not sell or transfer your data to third parties; we do not use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose; and we do not use or transfer it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Data storage, retention, and removal

The only stored data (your session token) lives in your browser's local extension storage on your own device. It is never sent to us or to any third party; it is sent only to api.co2body.com, the service you logged into. Uninstalling the extension deletes it. Logging out of co2body.com invalidates the token on the server.
